This is indeed cheering news for family, friends and fans of the late gospel music star, Irikefee Obarike, famously known as Kefee as report reaching us indicates that the remains of the Branama Queen would soon arrive the country as the executive governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan has settled all the bills she accumulated at the hospital in the United States. The news of Uduaghan’s intervention came as a surprise to many, as many had seen the politician and the late singer as enemies. It was believed that Kefee campaigned against the re-election of the Governor and went as far as recording a jingle for opposition Guber candidate, Great Ogboru in 2011. Earlier, Nigerian community in Las Vegas had issued a statement, appealing for the release of the body of the late singer. A statement signed by its president, Mr Festus Ebonka, said, “we appeal to Nigerians to help take her remains back home. Lots of protocols here and there to follow. It’s not a simple process. Her husband is devastated and not ready to speak yet. Kefee died on June 13 from lungs failure after 15 days in coma at Desert Spring Hospital, Las Vegas.
